ESPRiT project has resulted with

• 14 training modules in the area of industrial safety and risk management have been developed, plus one "train the trainer" module
• 21 instances of the training courses held with over 800 participants
• 25 participants certified as Senior Risk Assessor or Risk Examiner
• 17 participants passed final exam for ESPRiT trainers
• 30+ participants of one week study visit to German companies
• 5 participants of four-week on-the-job training in Germany
• two refineries have improved their performance for over 20% according to the result of management system self evaluation
• two faculties on Belgrade and Novi Sad universities have introduced ESPRiT modules in regular education program.

Contribution of the project to the personal competences was evaluated as "very significant" by project participants. 

Based on project success indicators, DEG has issued the statement that the project goals

“…to establish an infrastructure in Serbia allowing education, training and certification of experts in the field of HSE have been achieved and exceeded...”.

Continuing the successful first phase, RiskNIS "B" implemented risk management software and the new methodology on crucial plants that count over the 20% of all equipment in the NIS a.d. refineries. Among others the following methods and tools have been used: Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) based on API581, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA). 

Under the contract between Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS a.d.) and Stenbeis Advanced Risk Technologies in the first package of the project, the comprehensive critical review of the state of NIS assets (Basic Resource Document) has been made and the integrated web-based system for Risk-based inspection (RBI), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Health, Safety and Environment analysis installed and applied on over 2000 sample cases.

Education, Qualification and Certification of Serbian IT Experts for needs of German and European IT market

AQUIT was a co-operation project between the Steinbeis Foundation Germany (STW) and the German organization Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG), member of KfW Banking Group, aimed:

• to offer a new solution to the German IT sector suffering from a strong competition pressure, aiming to minimize the expenses, but without loosing quality standards, and
• to create an education, outsourcing and qualification structure corresponding to the DEG principles and in the scope of the regional development policy in Serbia.

The project has involved of over 1,200 people (as stakeholders, course participants, lecturers…), preparation of 25 AQUIT courses, 53 instances of the of AQUIT courses; 859 attendees of AQUIT courses; successful certification of 152 attendees of AQUIT courses and application of the AQUIT outsourcing concept in 4 pilot projects.
